Thanks for an amazing work!
Currently, GitHub trending page displays dots nearby programming language label filled with its associated color. It sometimes really speeds up the process of going through the list using the colors and not the programming language names.
What do you think about it?
Hello. Thanks for awesome project.
As most-starred-projects update on daily/weekly/monthly basis, It may be interesting that a random or categorize-specific images used as newtab
background image. These images could be retrieved using Unsplash API.
What I'm talking about is a field in githunt
settings, that the user could enable Unsplash Background
and in a better view, also specify the category
of which images belong to. Then background images would be applied as newpage
background image.
How are the list of repositories compiled?
For example, this repository has 11 stars and 3 forks:
https://github.com/Heyula/testimonial
but didn't make to the list, while repositories that had much lower number of stars were listed. Just curious how the process works and what kind of algorithm is being used?
Steps to reproduce:
This issue is for both list and grid view including the filters row
Github official has released a message that the Trending Tab is being deprecated and no longer be available since Sep 30.
Will GitHunt be no longer available, too?
Is it possible to get a dark theme toggle? Everything else I have is nice, calm, and dark, then I open that and bam, right in the face.
Thanks,
-MH
I program across a few different ecosystems, and would love to be able to see projects in different languages without changing the dropdown regularly. If this is difficult to implement from a UX perspective, an alternative would be a "favorites" list to make it easier to cycle through those favorite languages.
Hello,
I love love love GitHunt. A lot good good work is done here, so thank you for the dedication on the project ๐.
I normally consume GitHunt using the Chrome Extension. That's because, although I can configure the official site as tie first site to open on my browser, only using the extension make possible see GitHunt under a new tab.
However, for a time to now, I noted GitHunt it did not show under a new tab. When I enter on extensions, I see Chrome is saying it's "maybe corrupted" (WTF).
Any idea why this is happening?
When using the githunt website, there is a prompt to add a GitHub token:
Make sure to add a token )to avoid hitting the rate limit
with a link https://kamranahmed.info/options
which results in an error page:
Oops!
Looks like we don't have what you are looking for.

Hi all,
I would like to add GitLab support, but I would like it to be a toggle or an option. And of course it should have all the same options!
Thanks

The official github trending site "https://github.com/trending" support to choose language, can the extension be the same?
When I do CTRL + T and write something for search in searchar, GitHunt throws up an error and mostly not going to results. The route is changing just like figure A that I meant by error: chrome-extension://khpcnaokfebphakjgdgpinmglconplhp/index.html
. Finally preventing my work.
Didn't work since this morning and got an error message bellow
Refused to execute inline script because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive: "script-src 'self' blob: filesystem: chrome-extension-resource:". Either the 'unsafe-inline' keyword, a hash ('sha256-5As4+3YpY62+l38PsxCEkjB1R4YtyktBtRScTJ3fyLU='), or a nonce ('nonce-...') is required to enable inline execution.
This is on
Currently, GitHunt shows either All language or only one specific language. Can we have an option to filter by multiple languages?
P.S. Thanks for creating this plugin.
The Github API used is deprecated. Any idea when an update will be rolled out? As it is now, every time a tab is opened, Github sends out an email telling us the API is deprecated. Quite annoying ><
there is a typo in language filter, you have written select 'languge' instead of 'language'
