tuncfg's Issues

This is more of a question vs an issue

This is probably better suited for stack overflow, but you may know the answer. It's just that there's very few examples or people out there messing with bsd routing tables. I won't be offended if you tell me to buzz off.

In your bsd route file, you have a route message. I have 2 questions.

One, how do you target a specific route? Some of it seems to be overlayed from Addrs. If the gateway, ip, and mask line up it seems the add will say file exists and or allow me to delete. However, type 3 is change. It works to some extent, but I seem unable to properly match a route if for example there are 3 default routes. Index seems to do nothing. Do you know how to target specific routes?

This leads me to question 2. With hop, both the docs and your code use a route.LinkAddr. Whats odd, is that this just makes everything unroutable for me. I can put a 4byte route.Inet4Addr in there and it actually sets the gateway as expected, and it works. Do you know if you can do a hop to forcefully set Netif Expire while at the same time set the gateway to an ip? Is it normal to have to send 2 messages?
