kdenlive-tools's Introduction

My name is Kevin Deldycke, I'm a high-tech Engineering Manager.

Short Bio

I've held various positions in several industries and sectors as VP, Product Manager, Founding Engineer and Consultant.

After 15+ years of relevant engineering work, and 3+ years of hands-on management experience, I now build teams from scratch with self-sustaining culture, and my intent is to keep doing so.

Enabling engineers, leading managers, and make them feel productive is the most impactful thing I can bring to the table. So I'm always on the lookout for a high-tech management position, at a fast growing start-up with ambitious vision.

My most relevant experience was in growing a team from 0 to 12 at a world-class cloud computing provider. We built up the whole IAM ecosystem, as well as the Billing and Payment stack.

kdenlive-tools's Issues

add documentation for built-in python help

I'd be great to provide documentation when import kdenlive_tools; help(kdenlive_tools); is invoked (currently it's empty and I didn't find documentation anywhere else). The project is a great idea and I'd appreciate to get started even with the tiniest bit of a development version (maybe the project is already much more advanced and I just didn't find the right resources :) )!

invokation of `tox` fails due to missing `execfile`

After

git clone https://github.com/kdeldycke/kdenlive-tools.git
cd kdenlive-tools

invokation of tox fails because of missing execfile. According to python --version I'm running 2.7.8, but there might be an issue due to the fact execfile is no longer present in python3 (see http://stackoverflow.com/questions/436198/what-is-an-alternative-to-execfile-in-python-3-0 for explanations and solutions). I don't know so well what tox does in detail, so it might be a minor issue, but it should be explained, tox should fail with a clearer error message or the invokation changed to no-op if requirements aren't fulfilled.

I'm running python 2.7.8 on Ubuntu 14.10.
