For the block:

What is the default value for the fan field if it is not specified? on, off, or false?

I know I could check but imo it would be nice to have in your usage doc.

Specifying multiple authors in the meta.yml file causes the document to not build, also changing how authors are added to use multiple \author{} commands does not work either.

After installing it, I try and run make and get the following error:

laurel% make      
[ERROR] couldn't read from '-i2':
ENOENT: no such file or directory, open '-i2'
pandoc: out/build.json: openBinaryFile: does not exist (No such file or directory)

This looks like the package does not support -i option maybe?

While I'm at it, reproducible builds would be nice.

Probably want to support at least a full-page image to sit pretty next to the recipe.
