gspro-courses's Introduction

Thanks for swinging by!

Hey, I'm Ken - a developer from Ontario, Canada. I'm primarily a Java developer, who has been getting more involved with Angular and React (& React Native). If you'd like to get a better idea of my employment history, please check out my Linked In profile.

Current Role

Senior Software Engineer @ Guidewire.

Personal Projects

I've generally always got a few projects on the go, these are the most notable things I'm attempting to keep up to date:

Bluetooth classic/serial module for use with Android and IOS (External Accessory). Unfortuntely I haven't had the time I used to committed to this project, but I still do my best to:

  • Assist with open issues
  • Create/Accept pull requests from some wonderful contributers

Attempting to make my (and others) commissioners life a little easy with regards to:

  • Custom draft/keeper settings
  • Automated team management

Although I'm not the biggest blogger, I do try to document anything interesting that I've recently worked on (or resolved). I try not to duplicate topics that are already well documented around the web - there are far better authors than I spending far more time than I.

I've been attempting to get more involved on Stack (although I'm not sure how I feel about it in general). On top of being able to assist others with their issues, it's a great platform for continuing my own development journey with a lot of languages and frameworks.

Support

I know a bunch of companies are now using the Bluetooth Classic library, and I'm super stoked about it! Any bit of appreciation helps:

gspro-courses's Issues

Glencairn Golf Club re: @donaldpa1961

Leithfield

Hole 01

  • Missing oak trees in the right fescue 250 yards off the black tee. There are maybe 10 trees there 30-40 feet high. The cell tower behind the green on the other side of the pond is missing. This is the target for a few holes. It is approx 100 feet high.
  • Front gs bunker looks too small.

This requires rebuilding from Inscape, will do it once the other things are done as it's a bunch of work.

Hole 02

  • There is a grove of sumacs in the fescue on the left approx 150 yards off tee
  • The bushes on the left side of the green are taller. They block the view of 3 tee deck.

Don't have a sumac model and the bushes are going to be a continual work in progress

Hole 04

  • The pine trees on the right of the red deck do not block the fair. They should be moved back to the right.
  • There is a rail fence blocking the entrance to the silo. There are more trees inside the silo and they are taller.

This will be a last minute thing, at this point the silo seems ok and adding a few boards is the least of my concerns.

Hole 05

  • There is a grove of sumacs in the right rough from 195 to 220 yards on the left side of the cart path

See sumac comments

  • There are 3 or four oak/maple trees approx 130 yards off the black tees in the left fescue. They are approx 20-25 feet high.

Hole 06

  • Same trees from left of 5lf in play on 6.
  • The trees behind the gold tee deck are much higher. They block the view of half of the 7th green.
  • The path on the right side of the green between the trees is gravel. Just the section in the trees. It goes down to the 7th hole.

This requires an inkscape change and is a bunch of work, will be one of the last things done.

Hole 07

  • The stone wall behind the green is missing. I sent pictures of this.

Hole 08

  • There is two trees in the left rough 310 yards off the black tees across from the ones on the right. The branches on the tree closest to the FW go all the way to the ground. If you hit under this tree the only option is a drop usually behind the tree.
  • There are more trees on the right. Maybe twice as many in the same space. There is also a rail fence along the base of these trees with a free drop if they interfere with your swing.

Hole 09

  • There are trees on both sides of the FW about 75 yards off the black tee deck. They are oaks and maples and are approx 30-40 feet high.
  • The bridge behind the green doesn't look right but I'm not sure why. I don't think it has as many pillars.

This is a standard stone bridge, I'm not going to worry about looking for a custom one.

Speyside

Hole 02

  • There is a grove of sumacs in the left fescue approx 180m yards of the red tees and going up the hill to about 240 yards off the red tee deck
  • There is a bush along the right side opf the cart path from about 210 yards off the black tees to up past the green. There are the same height as the trees by the bridge

Hole 04

  • There is a stone platform built on the left side of the gold tees that has stairs up the back to see if the fw is clear. Is is approx 10 feet high and shaped like a pyramid
  • The bushes in the creek need to be lower. You can see the entire green from 100 yards out.

Hole 05

  • There are some trees on the right side of the tee deck. I think they may be apple trees. They are approx 20 feet high. Yo can see them on Google earth.
  • There is long reeds on the right side of the creek whihc are about 10 to 15 feet high. They block the view of the right bank of the green from the blue tees. The brown area beside the cart path is full of popular trees approx 30 feet high. There is about 20 of them in there.
  • There is a grass bunker to the left of the right GS bunker. It used to be a bunker the was removed but the depression is still there. It is the same size as the other bunker but not as deep. It is about 10-15 feet left of the other one in the front of the green.

Hole 06

  • The tree behind the red tee deck are apple trees about 15 feet high.
  • The red tee deck is now the green deck only. The red tee deck has been moved to the right rough about 200 yards in front of the black tees. It is just in front of the creek now.
  • The trees in the creek should be lower. You can see the fairway on the other side when you are at the end of the first fairway.
    They keep this cut down.
  • There could be a few more tall trees added along the right side of the bridge toward the tee deck. There are a few as far back as halfway across the bridge. The right side of the bridge has tall trees most of the way across the bridge.
  • The bridge across the railway tracks is steel with 4 foot railing on either side.
even the deck is steel slats. You could just change the texture of the existing boards to steel and it will be close enough.

Hole 07

  • The out of bounds line is on the right side of the cart path all the way down the hole
  • There is a 7 or 8 trees on the left side of the cart path approx 135 yards off the black tee deck
  • They are oak or maple approx 30 feet high
  • There is a small bunch of sumacs behind the gold tees on 2 scotchblock that are in play on this hole. They are approx 15 feet high.

Hole 09

  • Please put in the Ash tree in the left fescue approx 200 yards off the black tees.
  • In the brown area behing the green there is an oak tree about 25 feet high.
  • The stone wall along the driveway is missing.

Scotch Block

Hole 01

  • There is one trees at the back of the green before the cart path. It is to the left of the green. You can see on google earth. It is about 20 feet high and shaped like a maple.

Hole 02

  • Tree behind the tee deck missing. Same trees I mentioned for 8 SS
  • The brown area on the right of the tee deck is a grove of pine trees about 300 feet high

Hole 03

  • There are some trees on the right of the cart path beside the large fw bunker. They are about 20 feet high. They are clos to the cart path and do not interfere with play unless you hit it way left.

Hole 06

  • Bushes in the creek bed are too high. The fairway is visible form the red tees.
  • There is a small tree behind the green slightly left of center. Is is about 15 feet high. It is on top of the hill in the fescue.

Hole 08

  • Bushes in from of bleck tee deck are lower. You can see the fw but not the red tee deck.
  • Tree in creek beside secon bridge need to be moved closer to the bridge. Put them about 3 yards of the bridge
  • Lower the trees in the bushes in the creek. You can see about 1/2 the fairway.
  • The brown area to the right of the tee deck is full of pine trees about 20 feet tall.

Hole 09

  • Clubhouse is missing. There is a large patio in the back facing this green. You can see it on google earth.
  • BTW all of the creek beds are consided hazards.
