API

bitcoinRegex([options])

Returns a regex for matching Bitcoin addresses.

options

exact

Type: boolean
Default: false (Matches any Bitcoin address in a string)

Only match an exact string. Useful with RegExp#test to check if a string is a Bitcoin address.

bitcoin-regex's Issues

Wrong regex

The regex is wrong, as the final quantifier is attached to the last character class only.
e.g. "11-___---------------------" is a valid match...

Would be correct IMHO: var regex = [13][a-km-zA-HJ-NP-Z1-9]{25,34};

Add 'bc1...' as valid prefix

Change the regex to: ([13]|bc1)[A-HJ-NP-Za-km-z1-9]{27,34} in order to support addresses like bc1xxxxxxxxxxx....

Bitcoin Wallet Address matches incorrectly

Hi

Matched on: 3F3F3F3F3F3F3F3F3F3F3F3F3F3F3F3F3F

The regex catches obvious non Bitcoin addresses. Do you offer any update to regex to bypass this type of Invalid Wallet?
