See here for lack of bzip2 compression support. I at first thought it wasn't a useful feature, too, but I some people's keys ask for it. But maybe it is OK to ignore people's keys and just never write out that way.

Right now we go to the server every time for foo@twitter. Maybe we should keep local storage too for those queries.

For the latter, we'll need to load in certificates from file. See code here in node-client.

First off, we're going to continue to store GPG-style keys in GPG's databases. This allows the keybase application to interoperate with GPG-style applications, like Mail.app+GPGtools on Macintosh, and git, etc.
If we start to add other-style keys (like NaCL-style ECC keys), we'll need to store them in a separate DB.
Most of the code is already written in go.crypto, and @gokyle made a nice wrapper for his client.
There are some remaining shortcomings in Go's OpenPGP implementation that we'll hit when it comes to writing new secret keys to the secret keyring.

Easy enough to zero out that field, but we might need further support up and down the callchain for reloading a partially-cached user object.
