typora-hivacruz-theme's Introduction

Hivacruz Theme for Typora

A dark theme for Typora, a multi-platform Markdown Editor, that matches my iTerm2 color scheme, my Sublime Text 3 theme, as well as my VSCode theme. Heavily inspired by the Cobalt theme.

Installation

  1. Download the zipped project package or the latest stable release.
  2. Launch Typora and open Preferences from the app menu.
  3. Go to the Appearance tab, and choose Open Theme Folder.
  4. Copy the hivacruz.css file and hivacruz folder to your Typora theme library.
  5. Launch or restart Typora and choose Hivacruz from the theme menu.

Status

The theme is usable on all three platforms. Since I have only macOS at my disposal right now to test, the theme might look weird on Windows/Linux and still need improvements.

For that matter, Issues and Pull Requests are very welcome!

LaTeX Size

Hey there,

Thanks for publishing this! I noticed when I was putting this theme through its paces that the LaTeX size seems to be exceptionally small.

image

Not sure if this is on purpose, but I wanted to at least raise the issue!

I'm testing on Windows 10 (v1903 I think), latest version of Typora (v0.9.89). Not sure how exactly Typora does its TeX backend, but if it matters, my default TeX compiler is lualatex on this machine.

Inconsistent spacing after headers

Hi dev, love the color scheme, it's really beautiful!

I was wondering if there is a reason for the inconsistent spacing after the different header styles.

Screenshot 2021-11-16 at 21 24 39

All the red arrows are the same length; you can see the space after H2 is much smaller than the space after H1 and H3. Logically, I would assume the largest space should be after H1, and progressively decrease for H2 and H3.

Curious to hear your thoughts!

change oneliner code blocks background color?

Maybe we need to change the background color of one-liner code blocks. It really shines at the moment, the contrast with the editor background color is huge and when there are a lot of code blocks, it attracts too much the attention:

Playing with the opacity of the actual background color might be enough. Any feedbacks appreciated.

The grave ` key is not rendered properly

Everything with the grave key ` does not behave properly.

  1. Type ` at the beginning of a line shows nothing until another character is typed
  2. Type ` not at the beginning (with some text before it) will show a weird symbol until another character is typed

Table+line break+highlight causes overlapping

As can be seen in the image, if I use highlight inside the table and with multiple lines, there is an overlapping problem.

BTW I notice the highlight style inside the table is different from the outside, is it intentional?
