kippt-firefox's Issues

Odd default notes field issue (potential security problem)

I've noticed a bit of odd behaviour in using this extension; if you haven't selected a segment of text, and you click on the plugin button, the default for the notes field is whatever you have copied/written most recently instead. A few minutes ago it picked up on one of my passwords (which I never copy) and set it as the default note, which is a bit of a security problem.

This might be a bug with how Firefox actually stores selected text across plugins or somesuch, but I've only noticed it in the Kippt extension so far. It'd be much improved if the selection text used for the notes was scoped to the current page/selection, rather than picking up on previously copied text.

I'm running the latest version of Firefox stable on OSX 10.7.

Please, update Mozilla Addons Site

Hello,

Can you update Mozilla Addons Site with your latest version? Because the 1.1 has bugs on latest Firefox version, 1.2 nope.

I had to compile it myself.

Thank you!

Kippt icon not showing in Firefox 23

Hi guys,

I noticed that the kippt icon has gone missing in the past few Firefox updates. I thought it was something in my profile, so I created a fresh one, but still no luck. It's not even present when you select "Customize…" from the toolbar menu. This issue happens on both OS X and Ubuntu.

I even went as far as looking for a bookmarklet so I can use it in Firefox again, but I can't find one that works.

Anyway, thanks for all the hard work you've put into Kippt so far, it is pretty awesome :)

Layout bug in Firefox 17.0.1

There's something wrong with the layout of the Kippt overlay on Firefox 17.0.1 on Windows 8 as you can see here:

Kippy overlay bug

Extension doesn't close properly

Loaded iframe code calls window.close() which doesn't close the extension. Instead there should be event emit binded to Kippt.popup.close.

Sample code which doesn't properly load context scripts is at branch panel-close and I couldn't figure out what goes wrong.
