Currently there is no caching of the remote results retrieved over here, https://github.com/klasharr/php-wordpress-ssc-mods/blob/master/classes/SSCResults.php#L68 this is because on the SSC site (http://www.swanagesailingclub.org.uk/) I am using WP Super Cache with very long durations and explicit cache clearance as there are few updates.

A more robust implementation needs robust caching options also checking for the existence of the most common cache plugins.
