Great solution for linear volume control! How could I add lirc?

Hello Klaus,
thank you for your work!
It would be really nice, if you would give a short explanation in which files you define which features (of the original squeezelite build) will be included. I really like to customize your version a little bit to add the possibility to make use of lirc.
Best regards
Paul

Skit Tweaks

Hello Klaus, As advised in your Soundchecks blog spot topic “Skit toolbox”, I have managed to get everything in order, except “Skit custom squeezelite”.

I use an external dac and a preamp with Volume control. the So I don’t need any digital volume control etc.

Are Skit tweaks & Skit custom Squeezelite the same thing?

Please advise…

sKit-custom-squeezelite.sh

Trying to run the above on the following setup:
Raspberry Pi 4
piCorePlayer v8.1.0 | www v00017 | linux 5.10.77-pcpCore-v7l (32) | piCore v13.1 | Squeezelite v1.9.9-1392-pCP

It fails to download the files.

If I look at the code I did the following to verify a few things when SSH into the above device.
uname -m returns armv71

So site 1 should point to https://repo.picoreplayer.org/repo/13.x/armv71/tcz but this doesn't seem to exist from what I can tell.

The following directories exist from going to https://repo.picoreplayer.org/repo/13.x/

aarch64 | 2020-Dec-29 00:42:49 | 4k | dir
armv6 | 2020-Dec-29 00:40:42 | 4k | dir
armv7 | 2020-Dec-29 00:41:41 | 4k | dir

Am I missing something?

md5 check

Latest sKit-custom-squeezelite.sh is more explicit about what it does specially when downloading.
The verification phase (md5) seems to be faulty ??
