I am using a Tile mate. I noticed when i make a flow with ‘Beacon inside range’ of ‘Beacon outside range’ it works perfect.
However the flow ‘Beacon change’ doesn’t work. Nothing happens when the status changes.

App version 1.0.14
Homey verion : 1.5.13

If have Hue installed on my Homey and it works without any problem. Now I have installed the beacon on my Homey and immidiatly the movement detectors of the Hue are getting a "!!" and I was getting trouble in reatching the Homey with my app on my Phone and tablet. When I removed the the beacon, all the problems where over. Can you help me with this because your beacon is one of a kind.

Cannot install the App - "incompatible with your Homey softare version"

What version will be needed as minimum?
(maybe good idea to add it in description? Or I haven't seen it ;) )

It's not possible to name/rename TAG for Beacon device. I'v renamed the device but tagname is still default Beacon 1.

Hi I’m trying to install a Tile. Receive the pop up message: “Cannot get devices:No devices found”. Is this a know issue?

It would be nice to be able to use the tile pro button additionally. A good use case is to trigger the danalock action to open the door, so that beacon has a dual use.

There is a specific reason that only the 1.0.3 is offered for installation

After upgrade from 1.53 to Homey V2.0 the beacon app does not work anymore. Got 3 Tile Mate and only one is detected but does not in the flow. The other two are not to be detected or to pair with Homey

Is there anyway to tweak the polling of the beacons in the app? or is this limited by Athom in the bluetooth chip?

Problem is that sometimes the beacon is detected when the distance to the homey is 10 meter (When the device has capability of 70+ meter).

Add timeout for detecting new devices. And inform the user of the error that occur.

It's just an idea (not so much an issue) but would it be possible to have Homey BT register phones and/or wearables to determine person is in the house/near Homey.

What kind of information do you need for integration?

Flags: LimitedDiscoverable, BrEdrNotSupported
Appearance: [961] Keyboard (HID subtype)

BTW:
it have an additional "Immeddiate Alert" (0x182) with
"Alert Level" (0x2A06) -> write 0x00, 0x01, 0x02 +notify, write no response
and "unknown service" (0000ffe0) with
"unknown characteristic" (notify, read) 0x01 if pressed, 0x00 if "clean"

mobile Bluetooth scanner and nRF scaner can find it (and connect)

Hi,

is it possible to implement the Minew C6 beacons to the beacon app?
They are not found by homey/app. I used them before an a raspberry and they offer a real good detection radius.

Tag is in house but it reports many times out the house and in the house.

I have a NUT beacon, it's recognized with the app and also paired (and usable in flows).

But after pairing the device gets status: undetected while its 1 meter from the homey.

I tried to add the support for proper beacons to your valuable app. When I write proper beacons, I mean iBeacons from Apple (https://github.com/AltBeacon/spec/blob/master/README.md) or Eddystone from Google (https://github.com/google/eddystone/blob/master/README.md) or the “open” AltBeacons (https://github.com/AltBeacon/spec/blob/master/README.md).
There is a lot of companies that produces these kinds of beacon (Estimote, BlueUp, Teltonika, Kontact.io, …) and you can even simulate these beacons with an Android app like Beacon Simulator (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.alea.beaconsimulator) thus no more struggling with Tile 2020 or very-short-range devices.
Some screenshots:

Pairing devices: along with usual devices there are some iBeacons and one Eddystone.

Some telemetry added.

Advanced settings view presents several device info.

(Experimental: need to be evaluated) Marking a device out of range as unavailable let Homey show the beacon with a little exclamation point. This allows you to understand which devices are in range and which are out of range at a glance.

After update to ver 1.2.7 You can't use condition The beacon is inside range for a specific beacon.

Thanks for making this superb app, it almost does what I want. The issue is that with the beacons well within range of homey (< 2m) detection intermittently fails. I have tested this with two beacon brands (Tile 'Joke' and noname China 'iTAG' )both behaving the same. Looking at the timing could this be solved by adding a configurable retry period to to code before a declaring a tag offline?

BTW. This log also show that the Tile performs better compared to the noName C tag.

Can it be possible that the tile pro 2020 version is not working with the beacon app

I have managed to pair the remote fobs from my Somfy One alarm and with the new settings page I have tuned it to be pretty good at detecting when each of us is home.
To simplify the flows so I only need one per person instead of two could you add a trigger card to notify when the tag state changes along with a true / false variable to specify if the tag was activated or deactivated. That way I can use a condition to to set the users presence to home else away.
