Codec Priority : Depending from network

722 is more desirable over Wifi than 3G/GPRS.
Speex 8khz is more desirable over 3G/GPRS than Wifi.

Perhaps instead of values, allow codecs to be slid into order of priority (like
a Playlist), but when
clicked allow user to choose from [Disabled, Wifi Only, Wifi & 3G, 3G Only,
Enabled].

Cheers.

Speakerphone is stuck on

The program froze after answering a call. I could still hear the caller
and they could still here me. The time of call was stuck at 4 seconds and
none of the on screen buttons would work. I was trying to hit speaker to
turn it on to test that out and nothing happened. I had to close the
program using advanced task killer. Since then, the speakerphone won't
turn off. I can tap the button and the color changes like that it's either
activated or not, but it stays the same being on. Tried restarting phone
and also reinstalling but it is still stuck on inside the program.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect to be able to turn speaker on and off.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.00-08 and Android 1.5 on Sprint Hero.

Please provide any additional information below.
The program itself seems to work great minus a few freezes every now and
again, however, with the speakerphone stuck on it's unusable right now.

Caller ID configuration

We need to provide a simple way to set the CallerID.

For now I think that expert wizard (by using the account id field) can
allow it.
But, by the way, that's not enough : a simpler field has to be add (maybe
in another wizard).

Besides the availability to change the wizard of an account should be
provided (that's already design to enable it, only the ui is missing)

Use ldopen instead of dynamic link at build time - or java bindings

The fastest way to manage private api was to make my builds using ld linker
to handle links on the media-api.

I have to explore a cleaner way (that should solve a lot of problems for
specific manufacturers builds), using dlopen and dlsym (plugin like inclusion).

This would simplify the way the NDK is modified (we could maybe revert to
standard ndk???)

Rings audibly once - continues to vibrate - calls still answerable

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Have someone call your sip number.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect to hear ringing until phone is answered, caller hangs up, or goes to
voicemail. Instead
the phone only rings once.
Vibrate works as expected though. It continues to vibrate until I answer.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
9 on Nexus 2.1

Please provide any additional information below.
This problem also occurs on SipDroid and SipAgent (on the G1 1.6 as well as
Nexus). Some have
suggested on SipDroid to choose a long ring tone to compensate for it not
repeating.

SIP Account Settings Suggestion

For each SIP account allow:
Protocol and Port number to be set, for conflicting SIP accounts.
Multiple Regex to specify ranges, eliminating need for user to choose SIP
account every call.
Account ordering, so first SIP account with matching Regex makes the call.
Regex rewrite to format numbers for each SIP account if necessary.

Thanks.

iLBC Codec

Although G729 is more common, it's unlikely to practical in a free product due
to its licensing
constraints.

iLBC offers better packet loss concealment and is widely supported. Although
royalty free, I hear
that the only available integer code is sold under licence - (I hope I heard
wrong). The freely
distributed code is therefore floating point only, which is not ideal for
phones. (Maybe Nexus and
Droid are fast enough anyway?)

Thoughts?

Failed to register using TCP

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Requires an account with pbxes.org
2. Use the basic account wizard in CSipSimple to access pbxes.org
3. Change the settings to use TCP
4. Attempt to register, status only says "In progress"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
A successfull registration enabling incomming and outgoing calls to be made.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.00-11 on Nexus One (with Android 2.2)

Please provide any additional information below.
I usually use a setup using TCP with pbxes.org in order to consume battery.
This works in Sipdroid but I have not managed to register CSipSimple with
pbxes.org using TCP. With UDP it works fine in CSipSimple.

UI Suggestions (integration settings, making calls UE)

I'd love to see a setting on the preferred call type:
1. Prefer SIP (pick a SIP account if many are defined) when available
2. Prefer phone
3. Always ask
The current behavior will fit the "always ask" setting.

Also I'd like to see the exception setting changed (especially if changes above
are implemented),
would be great if it offered a confirmations such as "the calls will be made
using <option> unless"
and a link to a description of what format exceptions are expected would be
great.
