Expense Tracker React Project

Welcome to my Expense Tracker React project! This is a simple practice project that allows users to input their expenses and displays them in a well-organized manner. Additionally, it provides the functionality to filter the expenses based on the year of spending.

Features

  • Expense Input: Users can input their expenses, including the description, amount, and date of spending.

  • Expense List: The project neatly displays the entered expenses, showing details such as the description, amount, and date.

  • Expense Filtering: Users can filter the displayed expenses by selecting a specific year. The project then presents only the expenses incurred during that year.

  1. Clone the Repository: Begin by cloning this repository to your local machine.

    git clone https://github.com/kshitijtanwar/Xpenses.git

  3. Install Dependencies: Install the required dependencies using npm:

  4. Start the Development Server: Run the project using the following command. This will launch the project in your default web browser.

    npm start

Usage

  1. Open the project in your web browser by navigating to http://localhost:5173/.

  2. Begin by entering your expenses in the provided input fields. Include the description, amount, and date of spending.

  3. Once you've added several expenses, use the filtering feature to view expenses from a specific year. Select a year from the dropdown menu to see only those expenses.
