i tried the steps and its failed. Did anyone tried this method to setup.

Currently, if you specify an ipv6 address in the kubelet --hostname-override option, it will fail to register with the apiserver.
Trying manually reveals:

The Node "2001:db8::a4:a800:9dd7:4a00" is invalid.
metadata.name: Invalid value: "2001:db8::a4:a800:9dd7:4a00": must match the regex [a-z0-9]([-a-z0-9]*[a-z0-9])?(\.[a-z0-9]([-a-z0-9]*[a-z0-9])?)* (e.g. 'example.com')

Maybe kubernetes/kubernetes#22063 will help?
