I work as a Principal Software Engineer at Okta.

Previously, I worked at CircleCI where we help automate the software delivery pipeline so developers can ship quality applications more efficiently.

Before that, I was at HomeX, that allows users to seamlessly schedule home service appointments.

Uncaught TypeError: $.peekABar is not a constructor

Thanks for this library, unfortunately I can't seem to be able to show the notification.
I put the js in the footer, just under jquery - does it need to be on top?

Thanks for using this jQuery plugin to show notification bars in your web apps. Your love and support for this plugin is what motivates me to maintain it in an ever-changing world of newer front-end frameworks.

What's changing

• (Mar 16, 2024) Update README with a deprecation warning to give users enough time to prepare for the move #141
• (June 16, 2024) Move plugin to the @kunalnagarco organization
• (July 16, 2024) Deprecate the npm jquery-peek-a-bar package and create a new package under the org scope i.e. @kunalnagarco/jquery.peekABar

What's not changing

• No breaking changes
• No API changes
• This is purely a major bump for moving to the organization

Show message on the middle of the page and change message box width

Would you maybe add the possibility of placing the message box on the middle of the page? Also could you add an option to change the message box width? It would be great if it was possible to create customizable alert message boxes, maybe even with an ok-button.

Hello

I get this when using the script

"DevTools failed to load SourceMap: Could not load content for https://www.example.com/templates/path/to/js/jquery.peekabar.min.js.map: HTTP error: status code 404, net::ERR_HTTP_RESPONSE_CODE_FAILURE"

what am I doing wrong?

I m loading the files normally
/templates/path/to/js/jquery.peekabar.min.js
/templates/path/to/css/jquery.peekabar.min.css
