Thank you for Blank Screen. So good.

Unfortunately, it stopped working with the most recent Manjaro (Arch Linux-derivative) update. That has GNOME 43.1 on X11:

The error: Main.panel.statusArea.aggregateMenu is undefined

I prefer Blank Screen to Turn Off Display and fortunately, it is easy to get Blank Screen to work with the latest versions of GNOME Shell, in both Wayland and X. Would you please release a new version of Blank Screen which makes this one change?

Simply have it run:

gnome-screensaver-command --activate

at line 14 of extension.js. Currently it uses xset which Wayland doesn't understand. However, gnome-screensaver-command works for both. The only caveat is that some people might not have gnome-screensaver installed. (apt install gnome-screensaver in Debian and Ubuntu.)

I recently updated, and I believe it broke this extension.

What other info can I provide that may help?
