I thought about this option a while ago but moving without asking can be very destructive/scary without human interaction.

The big issue with this I see is that you can't discriminate what you load into the library on play so if you did this you would have to rely on tags being correct before they're imported or it would fail anyway.

It would probably be better to add a second library folder to your rhythmbox library and then you can look at the files before organising.

That's not to say it isn't possible though. It would just need to hook into another action like a library update or play action.

Yep', maybe turning it off by default could prevent this, as, only users who knows what they're doing will face it. (Personally, I used to choose "copied" and once I saw it was really in the library, I deleted the original file).

I don't understand. Do you mean: what if I just want to listen to a song without adding it to my library ? And about the tags, if they're not correct, the file is moved in the library anyway, in a wrong folder name or whatever, then, I just have to rename it in Rhythmbox, choose "Organize selection" and it'll we moved to the right folder, no ?

Or adding a second library folder could also do the trick.
