Github Desktop Protocol Handler Fix

A simple greasemonkey userscript that works around the bug that the beta GitHub Desktop client introduced. When one installs the beta client then switches back to using the stable Github Desktop client, "Open in Desktop" protocol handler links on the github.com website no longer work.

desktop/desktop#1676

Userscripts for Windows and macOS (untested) are available.

Tested with TamperMonkey 4.3.6 for Chrome 59.0.3071.115 (Official Build) (64-bit) on Windows 10 Pro (64-bit) version 1607.

github-desktop-protocol-fix's Issues

fails with tampermonkey 4.5 on chrome 64.0.3282.186

"unable to parse this"

I can't clone into desktop v223, and apparently newer versions are worse. Hoping to get this going, thanks

ADD: I manually modified x-github-client to github-mac, unfortunately that didn't work. Open to suggestions

Does not work

In the console of Safari, this error occurs:

Refused to execute a script because its hash, its nonce, or 'unsafe-inline' does not appear in the script-src directive of the Content Security Policy.
