Error getting Last 4 when no card is provided about cashier-stripe

Yes you are you need to set this on your user model

    protected $cardUpFront = false;

So if you want to be able to have a trail period and you plan on not asking for a card upfront then you need to set that property on your model which is in the README.md file .

Awe crap, I thought I had already added that in there which is why I opened the ticket.

I get the same error after adding that in and setting the trial_end_at column

If I modify the getLastFourCardDigits in StripeGateway.php method to check if the customers default_card is not null it resolves my error.

Don't make a subscription until the user actually is subscribing. Cashier isn't setup to take null as a token etc.

Just a silly question then: what's the point of having the $cardUpFront = false setting at all then?
