Maker Badges

License: CC BY-SA 4.0

Show off your maker skills! Inspired by Scouting America's Merit Badges, Maker Badges are physical badges you can create to celebrate the skills you and your fellow makers have earned.

What Are Maker Badges?

Maker Badges recognize hands-on skills — from 3D printing and soldering to laser cutting and coding. Download the SVG designs from this repo and turn them into real, physical badges you can wear, display, or share.

How to Use Them

  • Vinyl cut (recommended) — These designs work best as vinyl cut stickers. Slap them on your laptop, car, toolbox, or water bottle.
  • 3D print — Print the designs as medallions or patches with a 3D printer.
  • Give them out — Award badges to friends and fellow makers as they complete projects and level up their skills.
  • Make your own — Have a skill that's not listed? Design a new badge and submit a pull request!
