dif's Issues

Remove use of case classes for detailed output

Worked well for the first iteration, but will not scale past v1. Before removing case class usage, add support for json schema, to guarantee json is not a garbage (right now it's provided by strictness of case class).

Add filtering and stats

If all the deltas will be displayed (as part of https://github.com/lazyval/dif/milestone/3) it will be hard to tell apart noise from signal. To overcome this, I plan to add filtering and stats.

  • filtering will hide less important diffs behind the -- flag
  • stats will provide an hint that there is more and some level of safety. I also think it might be nice for the future changelog command to have a condensed and compact view

Add support for raw/calculated fields

For some of the fields it makes little sense to display diffs for raw data, for example these three

    createTime: LocalDateTime,
    startTime: LocalDateTime,
    endTime: LocalDateTime

instead, duration which would show the difference would be much more handy: 2 minutes vs 2 minutes 30 seconds.

Add additional step that will take raw data and allow best-effort calculations for a select set of fields. Initially only calculate durations between start/end.
