the confidence of ece metric
Hi Bolian,
Nice work, first of all! I really enjoyed reading the paper
I found that the calculation of ECE utilizes (1 - entropy) as confidence. However, there is no guarantee that (1 - entropy) is always in (0,1). Typically, people use \max_y p(y|x) as confidence instead.
Could you provide more insight into why (1 - entropy) is used here?
