I leave the keep me signed in unchecked.
Recently I added a friend via the Facebook webpage
When I opened Caprine it had his Facebook login address
in my login window.
My friend had already set up caprine with his credentials previously
but yesterday when he started Caprine it had my login address
in his login window
Is there some foul joke or hack at work; what's going on here?
Isn't my login address stored in a file in ~/.config/Caprine/
and if so how can that be changed without me knowing?

The official Caprine ships with Electron 10 and with some patches here and there I have managed to bump it up to Electron 13 which solves a serious bug some users (myself included) were having.

As Electron 13 has been deprecated, there is an urgent need to move away from it because it poses a significant security risk. Also, this would likely solve a few bugs, including #5.

What's keeping me from bumping the Electron version, is the enableRemoteModule option which has been separated from Electron.

@1nikolas if you have any spare time, please prioritize this over the other issues you have mentioned

Hi. Do you know how I would go about building caprine by pointing it to my own built electron, instead of using prebuilt ones from official source?

Ctrl+V pasting images into message box pastes 2 of the image instead of 1.

Windows 10 v2.55.7-1 and has been happening in previous versions as well.

Also this thing pops up when you first open the app but I have no idea why and how we can fix it..

I noticed you have done a lot of great improvements to Caprine in this fork. Would you be interested in collaborating on the official repo? I would be happy to add you as a maintainer if so.

I would like to ask for a proxy support. I am behind a corporate proxy and caprine does not work for me at all. The same actually goes for official messenger app, so it would be great if you could make it work somehow. Thanks!

Why did you take down the old releases!! I hate when anyone does that, be it github or elsewhere, you cant assume that an older release may never be needed again.

The latest releases from upstream are freezing, only the content, not the actual electron browser window.

v2.55.7-2 worked fine, and I went to the releases here to grab it, but you removed everything but the latest windows release and I am on ubuntu jammy.

When I post a link to a website or content thereof I get an empty window

It has something to do with the hide-preferences-window class on body (just like the last time). If you remove it, it works
