In-game: Japanese Script

First, the script must be dumped, which requires help from a programmer. Once that is covered, actual translation can begin as an open community project. This will turn into a community-built retranslation mod. In other words, a higher-quality localization of the original Japanese text.

• Programmer: find pointer tables in JP script files. They may be around the same offsets as the NA release, so a side-by-side comparison should help in locating them. Offsets here: https://github.com/Legend-of-Dragoon-Modding/lodmods/blob/master/all_text.txt
• Then, tfz will see if the LoDMoDS tool can dump the JP script as-is. If it works, translation will begin. If not, we'll have to figure out how to get the dump working (SC?)

In-game: Japanese FMVs

Japanese Guidebook

The Japanese guidebook is a comprehensive guide to Legend of Dragoon. It is over 400 pages in length with multiple sections, including a walkthrough of ~300 pages, a section devoted to game mechanics, and another section covering lore.
