Memory consumption

I'm not sure whether this really is a bug or something, but here's the issue: everytime you execute a command, be it internal or external, memory consumption grows up about 100 kb. There seems to be no apparent limit for this growth, which implies that a sustained usage of the program might result in completely unnecessary high memory consumption.
