Dockerize Development Environment
Docker is an open platform for developing, shipping, and running applications
. This enables you to separate applications from the infrastructure, making the software delivery much faster. It has become a widely used production standard and in order to easily deploy your Angular app to any of the cloud providers, you should dockerize it.
Let's combines Visual Studio Code
with Docker
to imitate our production settings and create consistency across different environments.
Software required
Both Docker
and Visual Studio Code
are required to be installed to use this guide.
VScode pluggins required
- Docker
- Remote Containers
Setup
After having the files in the root of your project.
Select from the icon button left:
After a short period of time, you will be switch to the new docker:
You can have a quick look at the available containers using the Remote Explorer (Docker):
