To do this Hackintosh and still have wifi/bluetooth - would I need to remove or replace any of the adapters in the laptop?

Getting external monitor support will basically make this the ultimate laptop for me so is there any workarounds i can use?

Power consumption overnight is 48% . Is that right ?

I remeberred read a topic saying only 4% overnight.

Is there a way to use native Dell screen brightness in OC ?

At the moment XPS13 9300 has installed Catalina with OC, and I have noticed that max brightness is close to 60% of native dell brightness...

New to core boot. How do I even get the USB to boot the system? Tried having a FAT32 usb with the recovery files for big sur, and the efi from this GitHub; but it doesn't boot correctly.

Hi I used the guide before and I installed catalina perfectly then I tried before the update to this guide to install big sur which didn't go well . Now I created again an installer with catalina and opencore 0.62 I used the efi file provided and I tried to reinstall catalina but now the installer says that the recovery server could not be contacted even though the WiFi is working ... Any ideas ;

You can fix thunderbolt hotplug by setting smbios to macbook pro 16,4, best regards

Hi I tried today to install the 11.0.1 beta so I created a usb with open core used the efi folder and the installation completed then just before showing the initial user settings it stays on grey screen with the cursor which I can move . I waited about 30 min but nothing happened any idea on what’s the problem ?

May I ask if the USB-C to DVI works? Have no chance to test it on my own.

AppleALC is currently at 1.5.5, so I'd like to be able to update it when possible.

By default, with force touch setting enabled in MacOS, any left click action becomes a force touch action.
Turning off force touch fixes this. (You may want to notate this in the documentation)

The brightness of the screen at max is about 40% of the usual maximum. If I'd got USB C - HDMI to work, then this wouldn't be such a big problem, but no luck so far. The brightness do go down with the buttons too, but the darker brightness options are unusually dark, non readably dark.

This happens after the verbose/apple logo, and I believe it is when it moves to using the iGPU.

I put in some time and updated all the kexts and opencore to their latest versions, most of them.

Specs and info:

• OS: Big sur
• Dell XPS 9300
• i7-1065g7
• 1080 FHD Display
• 16gb 3733mhz ddr4 ram

I‘ve got the 9300 Ubuntu Dev Edition with i7, 16gig, 512ssd and FHD display.
BIOS Version is 1.5.0. I applied the mentioned BIOS settings, used the EFI_big_sur_boot EFI and a full Big Sur 11.2.3 installer.

Sadly the install always fails at a similar stage. It says About 14 minutes remaining, then my cursor stops responding.

I already tried to modify the files on the EFI partition. Tried OpenCore 0.6.9 and the most recent versions of all the .kexts. I also tried adding NVMeFix.kext.

The moment of failure seems to mostly stay the same. From try to try, the hang can also come earlier, when I‘m getting bored and randomly click through the menus while installing.

I also experienced multiple hangs when trying to format the SSD through Disk Utility, doesn‘t matter if through GUI or Terminal. Terminal success rate was higher, though.

I‘m fairly new to the whole OpenCore thing, so I can‘t really interpret these symptoms. Can anybody give me any advice on how to proceed from here?

I did update my local EFI folder with the latest commit for none4k/BigSur, but now OpenCore does not see my AFPS partition only two options available.

BTW I am running Catalina

1. OpenShell.efi
2. Reset NVRAM

Based on logs, looks like something is missing in
Missing key CustomMemory.

I literally use your config.plist no changes there as for now. I would appreciate your help.

Please add NVMeFix.kext to the EFI_big_sur_boot folder. I am using a Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe drive and it has random failures without this kext.
It took me while to figure out why my Big Sur installation was failing until I realized that this kext was missing.

I was reading online and found some resources of getting tb3 to work with hotplug on dell laptops and came across this xxxzc/xps15-9570-macos#40 (comment), is it possible to implement this for our dell XPS?

Will this possible fix work on i5-1135G7 Core having the same Intel iris Xe Graphics. As you might be aware both Intel i7-1165G7 and i5-1135G7 are from the same Family of Tiger Lake processor (check here).

在安装Big sur11.4和11.5.2时， 用的文件是 EFI_big_sur_boot
OC引导抹除磁盘进行安装，卡在第一次安装进度条，一到剩余16分钟就会卡死，鼠标也不动
这是我最接近macos桌面的一次

在安装Catalina 10.15.7时 ，用的 EFI_xps9300_4k_1035G1
OC引导界面，我按照说明执行了CleanNvram 、NvramReset，但是进度条一半就会出现禁止符号

请问一下这是哪里出现了错误，已经折腾好几天了一点进展没有
