node-mic-record's Issues

The threshold option doesn't seem to work

I'm a bit confused around the threshold option, does a lower number mean a larger volume is required to trigger it? It doesn't seem to work no matter the direction I go in. Like I ran it with the default threshold of 0.5, then after a while unplugged my mic so there would be no incoming audio (complete silence) but it was still recording. In the logs it always just says recording 8192 (8192 is the only number that appears there) bytes of data and nothing about ending the stream or whatever. Am I doing something wrong? Here's the code I am using:

var record = require('node-mic-record');
var fs = require('fs');
var file = fs.createWriteStream(Date.now() + ".wav", { encoding: 'binary' });

record.start({
	verbose: true,
	thresholdEnd: 0.5
}).pipe(file);
