Cannot add Gitea server with self-signed root CA

We use a private Gitea instance with a self-signed root CA. I didn’t find specific instructions to configure it.

I have added the certificate to IntelliJ’s Settings > Tools > Server Certificates as well as the JetBrains Toolbox’s JRE cacerts, but I’m still getting the following error when trying to add an account:

(sorry the error does not seem to appear in the IntelliJ logfile so all I could do is take a screenshot)

Gitea instance URL

If the gitea instance is not located at the root level of an URL, the authentication (and probably all other fetatures) do not work.

Example:
https://foo.bar.com/ -> this probably works (cannot really test, but I assume it does)
https://foo.bar.com/gitea/ -> this does not work.

I believe the problem is that the path after first "/" is ignored, e.g. when I click on "Get Access Token" button, a browser opens with the address "https://foo.bar.com/user/settings/applications".

Using shortcut with Gitea panel

If you assign a shortcut to "Tool Windows | Gitea" and open the panel using the shortcut I would expect pressing again the shortcut and while the panel is visible to hide the panel.

Server URL accepts neither IPv4 address nor hostname

I am running Gitea locally on a raspi and it doesn't work. Note: I am using docker and a weird port. Please fix!

Update for IntelliJ IDEA 2024.1

It would be really nice if the plugin could be updated to be compatible with the 2024.1 version if IDEA. After updating, the following error message is displayed:
Plugin 'Gitea' (version '0.3.3') is not compatible with the current version of the IDE, because it requires build 233.* or older but the current build is IU-241.14494.240

This plugin has been really useful, thank you for making this possible!
