How to install with Retropie about mame2003-plus-libretro

Sorry for the hijack. Technically I am also asking how to install in retropie:P I updated the retropie-setup script and mame2003 plus starts to compile, but it fails to build after a few minutes. I'm using the beta stretch retropie image with latest retropie updates/kernel. Something about could not successfully build and that the binary is not found.

Here's a bit of the log: "src/drivers/system16.c:4426:1: internal compiler error: Illegal instruction"
"Makefile:494: recipe for target 'src/drivers/system16.o' failed
make: *** [src/drivers/system16.o] Error 1"

will need more detail than that i would post on the retropie forum. Only suggestion i have is update your binutils

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install --reinstall binutils
