Overview

The current name regex in the signup form lacks support for several global scripts including Thai, Devanagari, Greek, Bengali, Javanese, Telugu, and Tamil. This enhancement aims to make our application more inclusive by supporting these scripts in user names.

Objective

Refactor the existing regex to include support for the mentioned scripts, ensuring our landing page can cater to a more diverse user base.

• Identify the limitations of the current regex.
• Develop a new regex pattern that includes the specified scripts.
• Integrate the new regex into the existing validation framework.
• Test the new regex to ensure it validates new scripts correctly and maintains current functionality.

Acceptance Criteria

• The application accepts names written in the targeted scripts without errors.

• All tests pass, confirming no regressions in name validation.

Impact
