Select All option

Add a 'Select All' option to (de)select all values

Single Select / Empty level option is not working as expected

When I select/deselect the 'Single Select' option, the 'Empty Leafs' option also is enabled/disabled.

[BoxWhiskerPlot] Too much data error on small dataset

Hi Jan!

First off, your Power BI Box-Whisker Plot visualization is stellar. Great work!

My team is trying to use this visualization against a relatively small dataset (20 columns with 1,400 rows), however, we are getting an error stating the data set is too large.

Being the curious guy I am, I jumped into the code and noticed that it's using the passed in dataView.matrix to populate your data points and categories #L353. What caught my eye with this line though is that the Categories are populated from the rows property and not the columns.

I am not an expert on TypeScript or Power BI visualizations and may be missing something that's obvious, but shouldn't it be the opposite to avoid any column count limitations with the underlying matrix? I would think that the Categories should run across, not down in the dataset.

When we create a matrix in Power BI against the same dataset and flip the axis, we receive the same error message.

DropDown option (HierarchySlicer Update)

Hi,

Is it possible to make the HierarchySlicer a dropdown similar to the dropdown capability of the Slicer developed by Microsoft already built into Power BI? I have not been able to find a way to do this and it would be helpful to have a dropdown box where you could then view the full tree slicer. Happy to communicate through email to discuss.

Sorting issue

The hierarchy slicer will mis-sort entries in certain circumstances.

Selection is only OR and not AND as in example

I want to use the slicer to select multiple months at once, but I can only select one at a time. In the example, multiple selection is possible.

Outlier tooltips are showing an incorrect value

When there are visible outliers, the tooltips are always showing the incorrect value, namely the lowers outlier.

Support Ragged Hierachies (Hierarchy slicer, power bi)

Hi Jan,

I'm using your hierarchy slicer, find it very useful, really nice add on to the standard visualizations. Have a problem with blanks in the hierarchy, I see you have it in your dev pipeline - do you have an ETA for the next release?

Search not working correctly

When the hierarchy if filtered via a search string and a single child of a parent is selected, the parent is selected.

Show/hide header

Ability to show or hide the header

Set default data color so all boxes are the same color in Box & Whisker chart

I like this visual and am currently using it. But it doesn't seem to have a way to set the default color for all boxes in the Data Colors section. I can set the color for each individual category, but when I refresh my data, the new categories appear with the original color. I should be able to set the default color and have any new boxes appear with that color. There isn't a good reason to have each box be a different color, and it seems to be against data viz guidelines to do so without purpose. The image below is from the built-in bar chart in Power BI. Perhaps this Box and Whisker chart could have this as well.

Note: I haven't tried to see how using a report theme affects this.

Add partial selected option to parents

When not all children of a parent are selected, it would be nice if the checkbox of the parent is differently checked, like Excel is doing.

Hierarchy Slicer - Search only available when header displayed issue

The Power BI Hierarchy Slicer will only allow the Search to be enabled when the header is displayed. Can this be resolved so that the search can be enabled without header being displayed?

Measure value is added to hierarchy

When a filter measures is used, it is added to the hierarchy as it should not

'Values' filter not working

When adding a measure to the 'values' field, the hierarchy is not filtered by that measure.

Can you remove total visual items limit on Hierarchy Slicer

Thank you for giving Hierarchy Slicer Power BI custom visual. We found it very useful and attractive in the report.

Our users are using it the most. I see there is a limit of 4000 visual items in the slicer and wanted to know of we can remove that limit as we need to show around 15k items in the slicer.
If you can remove that limit and share pbiviz file with me, that will also work.
It would be great if you can help us with this.

Add hierarchy slicer to "Sync Slicers" functionality

Hi Guys,

The new functionality to synchronize slicers across all pages in the report is very useful. Do you plan implementing the same for your cool visual as well ?

Scrolling issue

There are styling/scrolling issues when you change items text size from 10 to 14.

Restyle the colors to fully support black themes.

Add 'Do not summarize' option to the value (Visualization working inPower BI Desktop June 2017?)

Every time I try to use this visualization, nothing is rendering and the output just states that "Dataset is not valid or too small/empty to display this visualization"

Here's information about my version of Power BI:
Version: 2.47.4766.801 64-bit (June 2017)

My data set is a simple single column of numbers and I'm just trying to render a single box and whisker plot with this before moving on to my more complicated data set.
