Scrollbar seems to appear by default in sidebar in Safari and Firefox for some reason

No idea why. Might not be too bothered to fix.

Particles hidden by sidebar if latter's position is static, i.e. in mobile devices

I've been following this thread for help, and whilst I've been able to show the particles in the sidebar if it's on the left (that's when its position is fixed), the particles are, however, hidden by the sidebar if it's at the top (that's when its position is, by default, static), like in mobile devices.

Add lang attribute.

Delay in doing so has been due to wish to give website a multi-lingual option.
