light-entity-card's Issues

show_slider_percent for each slider independently

I would like to show the slider % for the brightness slider but not for the color_temp. Currently the show_slider_percent option acts on both sliders.

Request is to change show_slider_percent to two properties:

show_brightness_slider_percent
show_color_temp_slider_percent

on/off toggle does not show up

Hi, the card (light-entity-card 3.1.0) works fine but the on/off toggle does not show up (running HA 0.102.1 on Hassio).

Group - true / Consolidate entities - true / false both result in list of entities displayed in lovelace of the custom light group.

I recently updated to the most recent version, seems to me it's gone a bit awry.

I came back to my light love lace dashboard hammered with a light card of every light in my house.

Seems that the consolidate entities / group variable is not working as expected, and it results in my custom light group to display every light entity in the group.

How this was achieved when the group itself is set in home assistant in the config, it should have just displayed that group, not the entire list of lights in the group, iiuc?

Anything I can do to help?

color wheel not displaying

I use deconz to integrate my Zigbee lamps. Deconz creates groups for individual rooms. The groups can contain different lamps. From simple white to RGBWW.
If I use light-entity-row, I can use e.g. the colorpicker for the group.
Unfortunately this does not seem to work with light-entity-card, does it?

A deconz group has the following attributes:
effect_list:

  • colorloop
    is_deconz_group: true
    all_on: false
    friendly_name: Living room
    supported_features: 45

How set up existing effect_list

Hello, I've a Yeelight celling light with an existing "effect_list" in its attributes. How is the set_up for the card ? I've tried many options but the list never appears on the card.

white_value slider doesn't show

I have a Qubino Flush RGBW Dimmer that doesn’t get the white_value slider to show. Setting RGB on the color picker works good but i have to use the Home Assistant dev-service and send custom JSON to the lights in order to set white_value (which works but its quite a hassle to do every time since it seems to reset to white_value: 0 every time i choose a new color).
Is it possible to force the white_value slider to show even though it probably thinks this unit doesn’t support white_value?

Feature Request - Custom entity slider.

Hi. I just tried your custom card. I like it so far. I have a separate input_number slider that sets the range for a minimum brightness ( ex Dim as low as 2% or as low as 10%). I would love to be able to integrate that into this card. So , I would like to have a custom slider under the brightness/hue or instead of hue, for example. Thank you.

color_wheel: false not hiding color wheel

Installed the card via HACS. Added the JS to lovelace yaml.
Added this code:

      - type: horizontal-stack
        cards:
          - type: custom:light-entity-card
            entity: light.woonkamer
            color_wheel: false
            color_temp: false
            effects_list: false

          - type: custom:light-entity-card
            entity: light.carport
            color_wheel: false
            color_temp: false
            effects_list: false

Result:

I can't see the Color Wheel.

I can't see the Color Wheel.
My lights are sync from Tuya, ¿maybe this is the problem?
I use raspberry pi os and HA supervised, all in updated to the last version.
Any idea?!??!?

ha-group with two lights - generates useless second card

I have a group in hass.io with two RGB lights and wanted to use the light entity card to control them at the same time.
But somehow two cards are generated.
Both Cards do the same but only the first one displays the correct states.
There should be an option to hide the second card (or is there?) because the first one already has all the functionality.

HACS installation doesn't work

I've added the light-entity-card via HACS and added the resource line to my ui-lovelace.yml, but still I get the error message: "Unknown resource type specified:", opening the source shows the origin of this error:

private _loadResources(resources) {
    resources.forEach((resource) => {
      switch (resource.type) {
        case "css":

            break;
          }

          console.warn(`Unknown resource type specified: ${resource.type}`);
      }
    });

Effects List dropdown

When using this card at the bottom of a page when clicking on the light effects dropdown it still display below even though there is no screen space available making the options really difficult to access.
image
Would it be possible to make the dropdown display above when it is at the bottom of the like the one on the more info dialog.

Hope this makes sense Thanks

Toggle button alignment inconsistent

I'm using the card with a Philips Living Colors Gen1, and it works very well.
I only have one small issue:
The alignment of the toggle button doesn't match other HA toggle buttons
Is there anything that can be done about this?

image

Thanks!

cant get in into lovelace.

i installed the card with hacs
but when i want to add in to the screen i get the error

Error: Custom element not found: light-entity-card

can someone help me?

HACS doesnt add light-entity-card.js.map

When installing through HACS, only light-entity-card.js is installed.

This results in the following error in HA:
Tried to serve up '/config/www/community/light-entity-card/light-entity-card.js.map' but it does not exist

Manually adding the file from the Github repo solves the issue. Not sure if the issue is on your side or HACS side, but thought i'd mention it.

No color wheel on HA 0.115

The color wheel doesn't seem to render at all on 0.115 (beta 9) even with color_picker: true.
effects_list, brightness and color_temp works though.

Feature Request: Option for a smaller wheel

Hey,
I really like the size of the color wheel when group is set true. Would be cool the have the small wheel, but with normal padding & title size.
Thanks for considering! 👍

Support for ambiance bulbs?

Hi,

Thank for this great card. I have a number of bulbs that don't support RGB, but do support temperature (Hue Ambiance spotlights). Could we have a similar picker to the RGB one, but for colour temperature (like the built in card supports)?

Disable more info pop-up

I find that when adjusting the values in the card very often (50% of the time) the more info pop-up card appears. Could we get an option to disable this?

Feature Request: Hide Effects

Hi, once again I am back to request a feature, last time I asked for the smooth color_picker, this time I will have to ask if you could make it possible to hide the effects list. I have a few IKEA lights that have a color_loop (but because the nature of the light, this is not working). I would wish that we could hide effects on certain entities like is possible with the sliders and color_wheel.

Thanks again for this great card, it makes my setup look a lot better XD.

group:true still renders a drop-shadow

The group: true seems to change the header size but not much else. The light-entity-card is still rendered with extra whitespace and drop-shadow.

HACS adds incorrect path to lovelace config

HACS adds

  - type: module
    url: /hacsfiles/light-entity-card/dist/light-entity-card.js

when it should be adding

  - type: module
    url: /hacsfiles/light-entity-card/light-entity-card.js

Color Wheel Not Displaying

I have lights that support the color wheel (on the Smart Life App) but the color wheel does not appear in this card. Thoughts?

Feature Request: more precise/detailed color wheel like core card

Would it be possible to have a more detailed color wheel? For example when you click on the palette on the standard more-info window you get a color wheel without the little boxes which allows for more precise coloring of the lights. The current way your card does this is with the little boxes in the color wheel.

No Toggle Button in 3.0.0

With the latest update 3.0.0, all toggle switches have disappeared from the light-entity-cards.
From the commit I can see that you switched from "paper-toggle-button" to "ha-switch", but I can't find any information about this ha-switch.

I don't see any errors in the browser or homeassistant log.

Home Assistant: 0.99.3

add group: true to compact card

add group:true setting to compact card when adding this card to a group of cards

  • put sliders on one line (2 sliders on each line)
  • make color wheel smaller
  • bring inputs closer together

Not loaded

Installed via HACS.

  • conflicting instructions to place .js resources (i) on github page, to be placed in /community_plugin/ (ii) after install, it says the js is placed in /www/community/

I am able to use the custom:light-entity-card type in lovelace, but HACS reports it as "not loaded".

Problem on light groups on HA 0.114.4

Hello,

just upgraded to HA 0.114.4 but seems that something changed and broke the card to manage light groups. I have two led lights on the same room and I have defined a group in my configuration file:

light:
  - platform: group
    name: luci_salotto
    entities:
      - light.led1
      - light.led2

With older version of HA (0.110 if I'm not wrong) using the light-entity-card on the group I was seeing 1 single button and 1 single color picker, allowing me to control both light on the same time. On the latest version of HA I'm seeing 2 different button, 2 different color picker, and doesn't allow to control the light at the same time. Something got broken?

Idea: Add gradient background to Color Temp slider

Love the plugin! Just had a small suggestion of adding the gradient background found in the default light popup to the color temp slider. I made the change in my forked copy and I feel it helps the slider's function stand-out. Anyway, let me know what you think and thank you for the excellent addition to HA!
