How to hide code that appears on JupyterBook (so it is less clustered)

Hi everyone! Does anyone know how to hide the code for an output you want to display on your JupyterBook build? I noticed that my JupyterBook was looking a little clustered, so I wanted to see if I could get rid of some of the code on my book. I consulted ChatGPT and found a few resources online, but each time I try to incorporate them nothing happens. For reference, I have been using the {toggle} feature as described on the website listed below, but it only works when the cell is markdown and not code? I also tried the "Edit cell" method as instructed by ChatGPT, but turns out ChatGPT was wrong and there no longer is an "Add Cell Tag" feature anymore. If anyone has run into this issue and has a solution, I would appreciate any help you may have to offer! Thank you in advance!

research topics not selected

Problem: The research topic for your term paper has not been selected.

Solution: Select your research topic by selecting two topics from the list below, presenting a short (≤5 min) “pitch talk” on each topic, and working with your instructors to identify the best topic for your term paper.

Details:

  1. Comment on this issue with the two topics that you would like to pitch to your instructor.
  2. When you commend, check the topic off of the list (so that, where possible, you have selected a unique topic.)

How to properly create file + Accidentally lost my local file

Hello, I kindly request assistance with file creation. I tried creating my own copy of Matt's ipynb file in my contrib folder on Jupyter Notebook. The created file doesn't show up in git status, so I create one with the same name on github directly. Then, I attempt to commit and push this file, but a divergent branch error prevents me from doing so.

I then git pull as recommended by the terminal. This seemingly overrode my local file with empty file on github, causing my local file to be unreadable. I am wondering what is the correct procedure—and if possible how to recover my file.

Thank you in advance.

Not an issue, but warm reminder :)

I was working on my code for a few hours and ran into some significant roadblocks that I kept asking ChatGPT to help debug, but after a while, I started to feel a little disheartened when the code wasn't running. I remembered that for all researchers, whether undergraduates to senior professionals in any industry, the process of conducting research can feel like a mental marathon. For those of you who have been committing posts about code errors today, I wanted to share that ChatGPT can be used yes for quantitative research but also to act as a cheerleader when your code isn't working and you need a little pick-me-up! I took a break to just chat with ChatGPT about how I was feeling and potential avenues to address that feeling (strong implications for the use of generative AI in psychology), and after that little pick-me-up, I was able to refocus and run my code successfully! Take this as small reminder how powerful ChatGPT can be in emotional regulation, especially when doing long nights of coding or research analysis.

Images not appearing on slides

I'm having an error with images not appearing on my slides. They either will not show up at all or just appear like this:
imgerror

However, the images do load just fine in jupyter notebook. How would I fix this?

Accidentally added two versions of as.180.369 on Jupyter Lab

Hello! I had a quick question regarding deleting files on JupyterLab. Although we went through and created as.180.369 in class, I was going through the steps again as I noticed my specific contrib file wasn't showing up underneath Cam's yesterday. When I did this, I did not pay attention to which file I was under, so I added an additional as.180.369 within my original as.180.369 folder (important reminder to always look at which file you are under as to not make the same mistake). I've attached a photo of it below. Within the sub-folder of as.180.369, my contrib file finally showed up again. I was wondering if there was a way I could delete the original as.180.369 folder as each time I tried, I was met with an error message (also pasted below). Thank you so much!

Converting X-Axis from Dates to Years

I've come to an issue with analyzing my data where, when I try to put it into a graph, the X-axis looks quite messy as there are over 1,042 dates being analyzed. I was wondering if anyone knew a way to convert the dates on the X-axis to a range of years from 2019-2023 or maybe create an interval of dates? I've attached my code below! Thank you in advance!
