twitchdownloader's Issues

Feature Request: View the active download queue

It would be nice to be able to view the download queue. Additionally options to pause the queue, pause individual items for later download, and/or removal of items from the queue would be awesome.

Keep up the great work this is the best tool I have found yet!

TS files can be concatenated after download

Hey, very useful project, thanks for sharing it!

I recently downloaded a 10 hours stream session and as you can imagine, it is long. Playing the playlist works, but it's very annoying to have glitches, specially in audio, every 3 seconds, so I tried to convert it using the ffmpeg method in the app, but for some reason ffmpeg was taking almost or even the actual duration time of the video to convert everything. I don't know if it has to "playback", or transcode, or if it's the nature of the process (very large number of very small files).

Anyway, I went searching for alternatives to using ffmpeg and its concat filter and some people were saying in forums that you can simply physically concatenate all the files. I tried, and guess what, it worked (it is played by VLC).

I simply wrote a script to go over the ffmpeg playlist and concatenate all those files into a single big .ts file.

So I'd suggest that the app do the same, or offer the option, to generate a single .ts file at the end of the download.

Error when trying to download from one specific channel

Edit feb 16: New downloads from joniosan are working again. Presumably something changed on Twitches end.

Original post:
For about a month now I've been unable to download most videos from a twitch channel called Joniosan

The channel has videos mostly either under 20 minutes long or videos several hours long. The under 20 minute videos usually work but for most of the long ones the download does not start and the program spits out this (or similar) URL in an "error" message box:
http://vod.edgecast.hls.twitch.tv/v1/AUTH_system/vods_15c6/joniosan_17986452768_357296214/high/index-dvr.m3u8

This message came from trying to download the (at the time of posting this) latest broadcast on joniosan channel that has an air date of 2015-12-01 and is 5 hours 40 minutes long. Changing my settings or restarting the program don't seem to do anything. Each individual video either always works or never does. I have never had this problem in the past nor does it occur on any other channel I've used TwitchDownloader for so I tried to be as specific as possible so maybe people can reproduce it.

Parse all user vods and sync

I use TwitchTools a lot just to save vods before they are deleted, the only issue I have is that I have to manually copy and paste each vod from a channel into a separate instance of TwitchTools. It would be great if I could simply copy and paste the users vod page link into the application, it would enumerate all the vods and tell me what needs to be updated (kind of like syncing the vods to my computer). I am not sure if the vod download has checksums/hashes but that way it would be very quick and easy for a person to download their favorite vods.
