The idea is to offer an overview about the status of your linux board without ssh it.
You can use some tiny tft screen like this one or this one for the odroid.
It alos support the use of an external serial display like a 0.96 i2c OLED display with an Arduino Pro Micro. I used this 3D model as enclosure.
-
Install the Adafruit gfx library and the Adafruit_SSD1306 library. If you don't know how to do it, maybe you should read this.
-
Burn the .ino file into the Arduino Micro Pro
-
Connect the board with the Oled this way. If you do it correctly you should see a triangle on the center of the screen:
ARDUINO ----- OLED
D2 ----- SDA
D3 ----- SCL
VCC ----- VCC
GND ----- GND
- Compile the host program and run it. If you've doubts about why I'm writting this arguments, you can always do
oled4linux -h
to see the help.:
make
oled4linux -v -t 5 -s /dev/ttyACM0
