Choose and test nightly release version naming

For example, start with a test package with the release version 2.4.4-nightly.20220526 and test if composer installs it correctly.
That format is the base branch version + a -nightly.YYYYMMDD suffix.

Questions to answer:

  • Is sorted AFTER or BEFORE 2.4.4?
  • Does composer consider it a non-stable release?
  • Is it possible to upgrade to 2.4.4-nightly.20220527?
  • How about 2.4.4.x-nightly.YYYYMMDD?
  • Are there better naming schemes for our purpose?
