Hey there! I'm Mahmood, and I'm thrilled to have you here on my GitHub profile. This is where I showcase my projects, and contributions, and share my passion for coding. Let's dive into a brief overview of who I am and what you can find here.
I'm a 23-year-old computer science student at ITU (MSc in Computer Science), with a keen interest in technology, sports (especially gym workouts), and finance. While pursuing my studies, I developed a fascination for machine learning and AI. I'm also contemplating becoming a part-time firefighter or personal trainer in the future, as I'm torn between these two passions. Currently, I'm employed at PeopleNet, a small IT company based in Copenhagen.
I just wrapped up the culmination of my bachelor thesis, where I delve into creating an innovative Bluetooth mesh grid network with a particular emphasis on designing an adaptive network protocol. The aim is to facilitate the coordination of states across the network, accommodating the dynamic nature of nodes joining and leaving at will. The project will be published as a paper soon at the Concurrent Processes Architectures and Embedded Systems Hybrid Virtual Conference (COPA) Link to the conference here.
Recently, I've had the pleasure of completing a project close to my heart: SysMentor, a budding startup aimed at revolutionizing the learning experience for Computer Systems students. Our vision? To cultivate a platform brimming with interactive exercises and visually captivating diagrams, designed to make the journey of learning both delightful and immersive.
Teaming up with my friend, Nidocq, we've poured our passion into crafting two engaging exercises: Cache-hit-miss and VMAT. These interactive modules serve as just a glimpse of the innovative learning environment we're striving to create.
Curious to see more? You can catch a glimpse of our startup's essence on our landing page here, where every click is an invitation to explore the future of CompSys education.
But that's not all! Alongside Nidocq, I've embarked on another exciting venture: ABD_DIS-Projekt. This online platform isn't just any marketplace; it's a vibrant community where users can give new life to their preloved items. With a tech stack boasting React, TypeScript, and SQL, we've laid the groundwork for a seamless user experience from browsing to checkout.
I'm currently enamored with Python, particularly in the context of machine learning, AI, and Networking. Exploring these fields has exposed me to the fascinating world of mathematical foundations. I also have considerable experience with TypeScript, which I find more enjoyable than plain JavaScript. At work, I primarily rely on React with TypeScript, but I'm comfortable with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS as well.
Though I haven't made any open-source contributions yet, I'm eagerly looking forward to contributing to the development of an open-source RISC-V manual. RISC-V is an assembly programming language that I find intriguing, and I'm excited to dive deeper into its internals.
