okay monospace is fixed. though it only looks correct on new fonts from pc version old fonts VI of VIII barely has 1 pixel of anything there. so it looks like VII with anything other than the new font.
Just need to correct font zoom I have both games running at 720p and ours is drawing text a bit smaller. I'm like I done the math... I will keep tweaking it but the monospace is fixed.
