Yes, your idea is possible to implement but how or where to add this feature is already a question mark for me as I'm writing you back.
I see what I can do hopefully in the next week because I'm busy at the time but if you could implement this too, your pull requests will be far more than welcome and appreciated.

Sorry to respond so late, after some tests to make sure everything is fine, I'll merge your changes and assign a new version for it(v3.5.0) in the next few hours and then this issue will be closed.

It is done and I requested for godot asset library to update the code there too but...
But my friend, this time I merged your changes into the project but I still don't find you in the contributors section.
I just merged your changes anyway this time, I'm just sorry. I don't have the time to revert all changes and all over again request for another PR.
I don't know what is happening to me but I was and still am pretty much sure with merge you would be a contributor because literally I'm merging your commits over here in this repository...
Anyways... I'm just sorry for these complications and please forgive me for them.
And finally, please if you find any bug with the new feature or somewhere else, I would be happy to fix them or have your contributions over here again.
