Update Branding

The website is from last year! would be great if someone can update it to the latest theme for both dark and light themes!

Welcome to pretember where we maintainers prepare our repositories for upcomming hacktoberfest. The repository will start accepting pr's from October 1st 😄 Till then u can prepare yourselves and get familliar with the code and start working on the already opened issues. I will add some more with time. Happy Hacking! And have fun during the hacktoberfest 😄

Search History

Store the recent searches by the user in the local storage. And display the last four on the website itself and remove the rest from the storage.

Design Readme

Create a nice looking readme.md file with screenshots and images from the real website.

Change the theme and assets of the website for hf 2021

The branding for hacktoberfest 2021 has been changed and its more of an orange black grey theme now. The website should be moved to the same theme including the new branding logos.

Limiting Website Use

Avoid the use of this website in the 11 months of the year and just enable in the october month only!

Integrate Backend With Frontend

Hey @mananchawla2005 I want to add Hover CSS3 feature on the Check button and also on dark mode button for both light and dark button. I am adding it to make UI better . Would love to contribute in this issue .

Close div tags on "failed modal"

Some </div> tags are omitted on failed modal. Although It's not critical, but seems better to add end tags for code quality :)

Add a column for showing the user's last searched repositories

Add a column for showing the user's last searched repositories which were eligible for hacktoberfest. The list can be saved in local storage to persist history

Add Documentation about Express and Demo Url

Make modifications in Readme.md to help other developers.

Add comments to the code wherever required which tells about the what the code is doing below it. It would create a better understanding for someone who is looking at code for first time.

Corrections in README

Following corrections are suggested in README.md file.

** Start the server with "node index.js".

** Your server should be running at https://localhost:8080

Make a page for showing repositories to contribute to!

Make another separate page using ejs... and js on the backend... which shows different repositories a user can contribute to...
You can ask the basics steps needed to implement the same from me if at all required... be consistent with the octocat library used for github api calls...
