Installation

• Prerequisites

  Must have, just to make sure everything works properly

  awesome bluez elogind flameshot alacritty mpd mpDris2 nmcli picom playerctl pulsemixer redshift rofi xsettingsd zsh
  

  Suggested, makes everything feel complete

  kitty chromium ncmpcpp nvim lf zathura
  

• Clone the repo

  git clone --recurse-submodules https://github.com/Manas140/dotfiles.git --depth=1 && cd dotfiles
  

• Install / Copy all configs

  ./install.sh

dotfiles's Issues

The installer is trying to acces files/directories that don't exist.

I executed install.sh and got this:

Copying Configs
cp: "/home/johnson/.config" is not a directory
cp: "/home/.*png" doesn't exist
Configs Copied
Copying Scripts
cp:"/home/johnson/.local/bin/." can not be made: doesn't exist
Wallpapers copied
Copying Fonts
cp:"/home/johnson/.fonts" is not a directory 

is this normal? or not?

Polybar misplacement

I'm having issues with polybar on Awesome WM. The bar fails to assume correct position. In my case I tried to set the bar on top, and it kinda works but as you can see on the screenshot, it's in the middle of the way and overlaps windows.
I tried applying the polybar default and your config, both top and bottom position, but results didn't change.

On HerbstluftWM (my prev WM) this problem doesn't exist, therefore I think this is related to the Awesome config, but can't figure out what to edit, since I'm relatively new to this WM.

The following is bottom = false

This one is bottom = true

I can post my rc.lua config if needed, but I didn't change almost anything from the one in the repo.

Hope someone can point me to the correct solution.

Unable to resize window using super + arrow

I am running awesome in a vm and have installed your theme but I am unable to resize windows using the super + arrow combination

Anyway to make the bar on the bottom and horizontal?

You should add minimize and restore options for your awesome config, other than that yours dots are peak perfection. <3

[Question] How do you get shadows working with rounded corners?

Hi, I was browsing picom configs to try and fix some unrelated issue I had and I noticed that you have both shadows and rounded corners. How exactly did you achieve this. Normally when people try this, this is the result: https://i.imgur.com/KBPqqpK.png

I am using jonaburg fork, but I tried it in the past with all other popular forks with the same result. I tried copying your simple picom config to see if I just have options that break it, but no bueno, same thing happens like in the screenshot. Did you switch to a different compositor that has it working?
