It's not working big file.

It's not working big files.(bigger than 1226 Byte)

need to use on("connection")

I know, old code, but still, others like myself may grab it in a hurry and spend some time before figuring out the problem.

The conn:send() should be in a conn:on("connection") block or it will fail very often if the connection is not established in time for the send().

conn:on("connection", function(conn)
    conn:send("GET /"..url.." HTTP/1.0\r\n"....)
end)
conn:connect(port,host)

Rework this to make use of the NodeMCU HTTP module or mention in the README that NodeMCU now offers something a little more solid than Lua + net module out-of-the-box.

And do away with all the tmr.wdclr() and garbage collection in the example.lua...http://nodemcu.readthedocs.io/en/latest/en/modules/tmr/#tmrwdclr.
