If you put different animation-duration values on different layers of a slide, the fadeOut will use those timings, when they should probably be the same across all layers to provide the illusion of the entire slide fading out.

Is there any need for additional commands during the display of slides?

• moving to the next/previous slide
• remove the current slide out of the display queue
• skip directly to the next sponsor slide
• restart the slide show (in case images are removed or added on disk)

Should there be some options for adding CSS code to the Slides.start() call? I'm thinking maybe font family for regular slides, as opposed to sponsor slides. The only down side would be that this could quickly turn into a large bit of initialization, as you would then want to add in different CSS styles for different classes, etc.

Clicking or hitting a certain key should pause the slide transition. Should be do-able using animation-play-state.

Is there any value in providing a control panel that allows the user to edit params on the fly -- e.g., change the time limit of slides or take out sponsored slides?

Crate a class of slides that are shown every N slides. These can be information slides about the event, or information on sponsors of the event.
