Problem:

Map popups open off screen on mobile devices, making them hard to read

Proposed solution:

• Idea 1: Fit the popup to the screen
• Idea 2: Get rid of pop ups and instead scroll the story card into the main focus area when a marker is clicked

Problem:

Map pins that share the same lat/lon are stacked on top of one another, hiding all but the top one.

Proposed solution:

• Idea 1: "Jitter" the coordinates so that they markers appear side by side. Downside is that the pins won't be directly on the geocoded location.
• Idea 2: Spiderify the markers

The date appears as 2020-07-22T11:39:04-04:00. Would be good to format it to 2020-07-22 or 07 July, 2020.

Problem

The story card shifts to a newline when the story is highlighted if the title is too long. This is kinda jarring.

Solution

Create a small div whose only job is to turn blue when the story is in focus
