Improper Exception Handling

Describe the bug
The script currently does not like it when we press CTRL+C, as the script does not kill threads and thus can't exit gracefully.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Run the script

  2. Press CTRL+C

  3. Run the script

  4. Wait for a shell press CTRL+C

Expected behavior
Exception is caught, and the program exists gracefully.
