Maru OS

Welcome to the Maru OS Project!

Maru makes personal computing more context-aware by giving you the best interface for your environment. That means when you're on the go, Maru is your phone; when you're at your desk, Maru is your desktop. It's that simple!

To be more precise, Maru is an operating system that enables interactive virtual environments on Android. It's based on the Android Open Source Project and focuses on mobile hardware. It uses lightweight OS virtualization (containers) to spin up virtual systems on demand, and provides a bridge into Android's I/O framework for interactivity.

Build and run documentation site locally

export NODE_OPTIONS=--openssl-legacy-provider
cd docs
npm install
npm run build
npm run dev

After that, we can visit http://localhost:8080/docs to verify documentation sites.

NOTE: This is on marhsmallow-mr2-release so we need to cherry these in vs. a merge since master is based on marshmallow-mr3-release; same deal as MOB31S.

Maru0.7 not getting build with latest lineage api

Maru0.7 is not getting build with latest lineage api, with updated api we can build lineage code so "mka bacon" or bruch works perfectly fine but while compiling with maru code using "mka dist" it is showing error.

Using older commits of lineage-sdk from https://github.com/LineageOS/android_prebuilts_lineage-sdk we can fix the issue but latest lineage packages are not getting build with it.

Please look into it as build is failing for all of the devices I tried with latest repo sync.

Repo init error

MaruOS 0.7 is not able to get initialized properly and syncing is not possible.
Workaround: init repo with maru-0.6, then shift branch to maru-0.7

Merge android-6.0.1_r77 (M4B30Z)

This includes the latest security patches through December 2016.

EDIT: Looks like Google pulled the plug on Marshmallow security updates. See comment for more info.

Facing doclava error with maru0.5

While building maru0.5 for any device, it is showing doclava error.
Many packages are not getting build and build is not able to get compiled successfully.

error - In doclet class com.google.doclava.Doclava, method start has thrown an exception java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException

Merge android-6.0.1_r72 (M4B30X)

This will take us from android-6.0.1_r17 -> android-6.0.1_r72.

This includes the latest security patches up through October 5, 2016.
