This should reduce friction for getting started, since right now you have to create message types in a shared library for every producer/consumer.

It should be possible to maintain the same interface for consumers of the library while using more intelligent message routing and discovery strategies under the hood. This includes such things as silently electing a broker for messages, or using gossip for message delivery between nodes. Some refactoring will probably be required to allow message routing to be more pluggable; better to do this early.

LAN bridging can be accomplished by making FeedRegistry instances on machines attached to multiple NICs relay received messaged on each NIC to all others.
